Job summary

CaroMont Health in Gastonia, NC seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team, supporting intra-procedural care, patient positioning, and radiographic procedures.

Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating, monitoring hemodynamics, and assisting the cardiology team. BLS/ACLS required; RCIS/RCES preferred; on-call STEMI coverage and role progression available.

Qualifications

• Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred.
• Registry or certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist, or CVT program completion.
• Credentials from alternate Allied Health fields may be recognized by CaroMont Health.
• RCIS and/or RCES preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, patients, physicians and families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and related procedures.
• Assist with STEMI on-call coverage and precepting staff.
• Prepare and position patients; operate x-ray equipment for radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures.
• Maintain competencies and progress to advanced CVT skill levels as trained.
