Job summary

The Catheterization Laboratory Technologist I at CHRISTUS Health supports cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing the lab, operating essential imaging equipment, and accurately documenting patient information and hemodynamic measurements.

This role requires strict aseptic technique and collaboration with the procedure team to optimize patient care and lab efficiency, while serving as the radiation safety representative during X-ray use.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• State licensure as applicable; NM requirements.
• Experience in acute care is preferred (0-1 year).

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Ensures major equipment is operational and documents quality control.
• Participates in daily room checks and stocking of supplies.
• Prepares patient information and ensures accurate documentation for procedures.
• Operates cath lab imaging equipment and records hemodynamics.
• Acts as radiation safety representative during X-ray usage.
• Trains and completes competencies on cath lab equipment.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and infection control.
