Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. This full-time position assists the primary physician with cardiac catheterization and related procedures.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a High School Diploma with extensive acute invasive cardiology experience, plus ARRT radiology registration and ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or High School Diploma with 5+ years of acute invasive cardiology experience.
• ARRT Radiology Technology registration; RCVT/RCIS/RCES within 24 months of employment; ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the primary physician in cardiac catheterization and selected diagnostic procedures.
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff and families.
• Assists with development of protocols and education for Cath Lab staff.
• Ensure complete post-procedure data and documentation in patient records.
• Monitor equipment, inventory and safety standards to support patient outcomes.
