Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. You will work with physicians to perform lifesaving cardiac procedures in a state-of-the-art cath lab and provide patient education and support throughout the care journey.

The role requires RCIS and/or ARRT certification, BCLS, ACLS within 6 months, and the ability to maintain sterile technique under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must hold RCIS and/or ARRT certification or Texas Radiology Technologist credential.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced cath lab environment and maintain sterile technique.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and annual skills checklist.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Prepare and support patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care.
• Safeguard a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient.
