Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under the physician and supervisor. You will assist with the technical aspects, monitor patient status during procedures in the cath lab, and help prepare and maintain the cath lab.

The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree in science or related healthcare experience, current ACLS, RCIS within six months of hire (or ARRT with TX RT(R) in lieu), and applicable licenses.

Qualifications

• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) credentials may be used in lieu of RCIS.
• Licenses and/or Certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during procedures, interpreting basic and advanced EKGs.
• Scrub tech duties and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Circulator duties, monitors patient status and assists with supplies.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Prepares lab for procedure and maintains sterile technique.
• Stocks cath lab and manages inventory.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems.
