Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive procedures in the cath lab under supervision. You will assist with monitoring, imaging, and scrub/circulator duties to ensure patient safety.

Requirements include an associate or bachelor's degree in a science field or related healthcare experience, current AHA ACLS, RCIS within six months, or ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in science or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of date of hire or ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assist physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures by interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs.
• Operate physiologic recorder and assist with imaging as directed by physician.
• Scrub for most procedures and assist as circulator by monitoring patient status.
• Transport patients to and from the department and stock the cath lab.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare the lab for procedures.
