Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a Cardiovascular Interventional Tech for the Morton Plant Cardiac Cath Lab. The role supports diagnostic and invasive procedures and runs scrubbing duties for cardiac caths and pacemaker implants.

Applicants may qualify via radiology AS/Tech pathways, CVT, respiratory therapy, or RCIS/RCES credentials, with active BLS & ACLS. On-call duties and varied shifts apply; BayCare offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active BLS & ACLS certification required.
• 1 year of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology experience preferred.
• Multiple educational pathways acceptable as listed in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in for Cardiac Cath procedures and Pacemaker implants.
• Monitor patient with Hemodynamic system and document procedures.
• On-call for emergent procedures, shift hours vary.

Serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

Position Description: Cardiovascular Interventional Tech

The Cardiovascular Interventional Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures.Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

• Scrubbing in for Procedures (CardiacCathsand Pacemaker Implants)
• Using Hemodynamic System to Monitor Patient and Document Procedure
• On Call for Emergent Procedures

Minimum Qualifications (May qualify 1 of 5 ways):

1) Technical or Associates in Radiology + ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR

2) Associates in Respiratory+ RRT (Respiratory Therapy), Active NBRC Credential for RRT + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR

3) Graduate of Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) Program/Degree and No Experience OR

4) 3 years of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education OR

5) RCIS and/or RCES and 1 year of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education

Required: Active BLS & ACLS certification (accepted from Red Cross, American Heart Association or Military only)
