Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Allied Health Technology.
• Graduates of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years as a Cardiovascular Specialist.
• Registered RN in applicable state or ARRT certification as required by licensure

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures, promotes teamwork, and follows safety and quality standards.
• Ensures readiness of emergency equipment; initiates appropriate emergency response and ACLS/BCLS updates.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic environment; manages IV fluids, medications, and controlled substances; protects patient privacy and safety.
• Maintains accurate department records and documentation across the information systems and logs.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team; coordinates care and ensures clear handoffs.
• Provides 24-hour emergency call coverage for the Cardiac Cath Lab; responds promptly to emergencies.
• Administers patient care under licensure; monitors physiologic stability; assists in procedures.
• Provides instruction and orientation for coworkers and trainees; participates in continuing education.
• Performs point-of-care testing competencies; adheres to policies and regulations.
• Ensures age-appropriate care and maintains competency in age-specific guidelines.
