Job summary

AHMC Healthcare Inc. seeks an experienced RN for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in California. The role covers direct patient care before and after cardiac and interventional procedures, with fast response to changes in patient condition and collaborative communication with the care team.

Requirements include a California RN license, BCLS and ACLS on hire, and prior critical care exposure; cath lab preferred, with completion of required certification within one year if not already held.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid California RN license.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
• Previous Critical Care experience; Cath lab preferred; if not, must complete Critical Care Course Certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Department setting.
• Provide care for patient pre and post cardiac and IR procedures.
• Communicate with physicians/Nurse Directors / coworkers about changes in patient condition and test results; rotate on variable shift as required.
• Ensures the unit is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and training of new staff; assist in invasive and cardiac procedures.
