Job summary

SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a licensed RN to join the Cardiac Cath Lab as a PRN 2 staff member. You will participate as circulator, scrub, or monitor, ensuring safe, high-quality perioperative care for adult patients.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure prep, medication administration, patient and family education, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the cardiology team. BLS/ALS/PALS as applicable; prior Cath Lab experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.
• BLS HCP and applicable ACLS/PALS certifications per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs as circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Cath Lab procedure team.
• Preps patient in holding and ensures H&P information is available.
• Administers medications and communicates abnormal findings to the physician.
• Performs hemostasis and enters/ reviews charges.
• Educates patients and families about perioperative procedures.
• Assists families to the cath lab area when needed.
• May perform point-of-care testing per policies.
• Maintains alertness and safety during procedures.
