Job summary

HCA Healthcare's St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, perform assessments, administer medications, and assist during procedures with careful documentation and monitoring.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, manage emergencies, and ensure patient education pre- and post-procedure. This role requires ACLS and BLS within specified timelines and an RN license.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RN: Registered Nurse credential and active licensure
• Associate Degree or higher in nursing from an accredited program

Responsibilities

• Complete and document a patient assessment upon admission.
• Reassess and document changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and monitor and document response.
• Monitor patient status pre, during, and post procedure.
• Communicate patient changes to the physician as needed.
• Manage patients with life-threatening dysrhythmia or hemodynamic change per physician order.
• Explain procedures to patients and assess their understanding.
