Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a full-time RN for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will provide specialized nursing care to adults undergoing cardiovascular procedures, monitor patients, assist physicians, and ensure safety and quality.

Requirements include valid RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year in a cath lab or related area. Competitive pay and total rewards package offered.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications on hire.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or related setting.
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular procedures.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cardiac catheterization patients.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data before, during, and after procedures.
• Document patient condition and report changes promptly to care team.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures; ensure readiness and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with cardiology team to deliver high-quality care.
• Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.
