Job summary

You will participate in admission, assessment, teaching, and coordination of transfers, including after‑hours calls, while adhering to high standards of teamwork and patient‑centered care. The role requires strong cardiovascular CCU experience, Florida RN licensure, and active BLS/ACLS certifications, with NIHSS training desirable.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Florida is required.
• Two years of Acute Critical Care experience in Cardiovascular, ICU, or CVICU.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS training can be obtained through recognized organizations.
• Nurse educator responsibilities for peers, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Use Nursing Process to set goals and plan care across the patient’s life span.
• Educate patients and discharge information tailored to age and learning needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to improve understanding.
• Anticipate physician needs and verify order execution.
• Manage pre/post procedural care for Cardiac Catheterization patients.
• Start IVs, perform phlebotomy, and manage arterial/venous access.
• Operate cardiology monitoring equipment and assist with procedures.
