Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team of physicians and nurses providing advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures.

You'll assist with angiograms, angioplasties and stent placements, prepare patients, operate and maintain cath lab equipment, and monitor responses, all while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment near Pearland, TX.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Candidate holds RT Radiologic Technologist/ Radiographer credentials.
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification must be obtained within 2 years of start date.
• Prior Cardiac Cath and/or Special Procedures training is preferred.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements).
• Prepare and support patients and families with care, education and reassurance before, during and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care.
• Safely maintain a sterile environment while advocating for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certificate
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer and (ARRT-R) Radiography required, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
• Previous Cardiac Cath and/or Special Procedures training is preferred
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms is required
