Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to support patient care in a high-volume hospital. The role involves assisting the RN in patient care planning, scrubbing and operating the x-ray table, and ensuring digital image storage and archiving.

The ideal candidate will have Cath Lab experience, ARRT or RCIS certification, BCLS, and ACLS within 6 months. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT or RCIS certification required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating Cath Lab patient care.
• Scrub and run the table (x-ray) in call-out situations.
• Archive and store digital data; maintain image review stations.
• Perform post-processing to supply physician with additional data.
• Function in Code Blue situations as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for assisting the R.N. in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the Cath Lab patient.
• You will be responsible to function in a call-out situation by scrubbing and running the table (x-ray).
• You will ensure archiving and storage of digital data and maintains proper operation of image review stations.
• You will perform post processing manipulation of digital data to supply physician with additional clinical data.
• You will be able to function in a Code Blue situation.

What qualifications you will need:

• 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area
• Prior Cath Lab experience preferred
• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required
• ARRT and Radiology Technologist through the Texas Department of Health or RCIS certification required.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment
