Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support physicians during lifesaving cardiac procedures. You will prepare patients, assist with angiograms, and operate advanced imaging equipment to ensure safe, high-quality care.

You will work closely with a skilled team, provide education and reassurance to patients and families, and uphold the hospital's commitment to compassionate, patient-centered service in a fast-paced cath lab environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Experience assisting with cardiac/vascular procedures preferred.
• Strong patient education and reassurance skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements).
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced equipment to deliver safe treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance and compassion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certificate
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer and (ARRT-R) Radiography required, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
• Previous Cardiac Cath and/or Special Procedures training is preferred
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms is required
