Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to provide direct patient care and operate as scrub, circulating, or monitoring RN in a busy lab. You will coordinate communication across disciplines, pre-screen patients, and support performance improvement initiatives to drive safety and quality in the cardiac suite.

Qualified candidates have RN licensure, an Associate Degree, ACLS and BCLS valid or within 30 days, and at least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/ER/Cath

• At least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU, ER, Cath Lab) required.
• Associate degree required, nursing degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as scrub, circulating, or monitoring RN in Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Coordinate communication between modalities and team members.
• Pre-screen patients and families to support procedural flow.
• Educate patients and families and participate in quality improvement activities.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures RN is an individual who, after comprehensive training, is qualified to function as a scrub assistant, circulating RN or monitoring person and assist with the daily operational and business needs of the lab. The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the registered Nurse Practice Act. This person is able to coordinate communication between all involved modalities in daily practice. Pre-screens patients and/or families to augment the procedural process. Must be able to recognize, report and document abnormal and/or critical screening values. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. Educates patients and families. Involvement in performance improvement activities to ensure continuous quality improvement.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• At least 1 year of critical care experience required. ICU, ER, Cath Lab
