Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse to provide direct nursing care for adults undergoing cardiac catheterization and specialized radiology procedures. You will monitor patient conditions, document thoroughly, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care from prep through recovery.

The role requires an RN license or eligibility, an Associate Degree in Nursing, ACLS certification, and BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• RN license or eligibility required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS certification required (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for adults undergoing cardiac cath lab procedures.
• Monitor, document, and respond to patient conditions and vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and modify care.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist during recovery.
• Serve as a clinical resource and respond to information requests promptly.

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursingproblems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient carewhileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

When acting inchargenurserole, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment.Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff.Respond in a timely manner to requests for informationor follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

What you will do in this role:

As Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab Nurse, you are responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to adult patients having cardiac catheterization procedures as well as care for patients having specialized radiology procedures. This includes both the prep and recovery of these patients.

You are responsible for specialized cardiac tests performed on adult as well as pediatric patients.You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.You will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.You will record patients' medical information and vital signs and any other patient care.You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.What qualifications you will need:

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date(RN) Registered NurseAssociate DegreeBasic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateAt least 2 year of critical care experience required. ICU, ER, Cath Lab30 minute response time for call REQUIRED!
