Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a cardiovascular lab assistant to scrub and monitor physiologic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the cardiologist/radiologist. The role ensures the room is prepared and supplies are maintained, supporting both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements include ARRT-R or RCIS license, CV lab experience preferred, BCLS, and ACLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license or RCIS required.
• Prior experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology/hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be current.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs procedures or monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during cardiovascular procedures.
• Ensures procedure room is prepared for the procedure.
• Monitors par level of instruments and supplies.
• Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Assists in training new staff.
• Assists in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
