Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a CV Invasive Specialist I for the St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. This role supports cardiac catheterization procedures with RN, scrub tech, and additional staff, joining a four 9-hour shift schedule with on-call obligations.

The position requires BLS/PALS or ACLS credentials, a health-science degree or equivalent, and experience in cath lab environments. Expect standard lab hours 7:00am–4:30pm with additional call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in invasive cardiovascular procedures is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in procedure room preparation and post procedure turnaround.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies including inventory control.
• Document hemodynamic recordings, calculations, and interpretations.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration with team members and physicians.
• Assess patient condition and inform physician of deviations during the procedure.
• Understand X-ray generation and safety; operate imaging equipment.
• May mix/ administer medications under physician direction (RCIS/RCES).
• Document each procedure and related events accurately.
• Develop skills to operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment; perform point-of-care testing and QA.
