Unit Details:Assists with sterile diagnostic and interventional care for patients from young adults through the elderly, including critically ill patients.The unit handles diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, structural-heart and interventional radiology procedures.Cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures include PTCA, PCI, Rotablator, CSI and Penumbra.Vascular procedures include IVC filters, peripheral runoffs, acute and chronic occlusions, PTA/stenting, radiofrequency ablations, AAA repair, TCAR, carotid angiography, renal angiograms, graftograms/fistulograms and EKOS.Structural-heart procedures include TAVR, Watchman, PFO closures and MitraClips.Electrophysiology procedures include pacemaker/ICD placement, loop recorder insertion/removal, radiofrequency ablations, cryoablations, electrical pulse-field ablations, EP procedures and synchronized cardioversion/defibrillation.The role assists with balloon pump/Impella insertion, maintenance and troubleshooting; intravascular ultrasound; FFR/iFR; vascular access; temporary pacemaker insertion; and arterial and venous sheath maintenance/removal, including manual compression and hemostasis devices.Arterial and venous closure devices include Mynx, Vascade, Perclose, AngioSeal and TR Band, including application, maintenance, removal and post-care.The role uses Spectranetics laser, thermodilution and invasive monitoring, and performs hemodynamics calculations.Contrast delivery methods include an Acist device and manual manifold; the role sets up, uses and maintains these methods and troubleshoots X-ray and other Cath Lab equipment.The role uses sterile technique, radiological positioning/techniques and cardiac monitor lead placement.The role includes contrast-volume tracking and reporting to the physician, PCI registry data gathering, postmortem care and patient transport.The role continuously assesses hemodynamic stability using invasive and non-invasive measures.Uses Philips XPER hemodynamic monitoring system.
Shift & Scheduling:24/7 call coverage (365 days) with a 30-minute hospital arrival time.
