Required Skills/Experience:Previous experience is required in one of the following specialties: Cardiac Cath Specialist, Cardiovascular Specialist, Diagnostic Cath Specialist, Interventional Cath Specialist, or Peripheral Diagnostic/Interventional Specialist.
Required Credentials:One of the following is required: Graduation from a Radiologic Science program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health and Accreditation; graduation from a special procedures program; graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing; or completion of a course training in cardiac catheterization — transcripts required.
Unit Details:Supports diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral procedures involving the heart and peripheral vessels, including hemodynamics.Provides pre-, during-, and post-procedure patient care, including sterile preparation of the patient and scrub table.Prepares lines and devices for injectable fluids, inserts IVs, and injects drugs under direct physician supervision.Operates radiographic and cardiac catheterization equipment, including IVUS, Combo Map, ICE, and HeartLab, and performs routine equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.Uses Witt, HeartLab, ICE, IVUS, and Apollo systems for data retrieval, documentation, reporting, and image archiving.
Shift & Scheduling:May be placed on standby if census drops.One call weekend per month.Holidays are not required.
