Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Cardiovascular Tech to assist cardiologists in invasive and non-invasive procedures. You will prepare patients, monitor their condition during procedures, and support both surgical and diagnostic activities in the cath lab.

The role requires an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or related field, BLS/ACLS, and on-call availability within 30 minutes. RCIS/RCES or CI is preferred.

Description: Position overview

Scrubs and gowns for surgery to assist the cardiologist in all aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures. Performs a variety of specialized and complex invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures. Assists the cardiologist in all surgical and diagnostic procedures. Prepares patients and assists in monitoring the patient’s condition during invasive cardiovascular procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

• 1. Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in Cardiovascular Technology or related field required.


• 2. RCIS/RCES (CCI) or CI (ARRT) certification preferred.


• 3. BLS/ACLS Required.


• 4. Must be available to respond to cath lab within 30 minutes when on call.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• 1. Ability to recognize normal and abnormal ECG rhythms, ischemia and infarction patterns.


• 2. Understands basic concepts in aseptic technique.
