Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit with 12-hour day shifts. This role focuses on delivering safe patient care, coordinating with the care team and educating patients and families throughout the care process.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel; maintain standards of care in the Coronary Care Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
