Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care to assure integration of information for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops plan of care.
• Implements plan of care and nursing interventions; modifies plan based on evaluation.
• Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
• Communicates with others to resolve issues; supports professional development of peers.
• Maintains competencies and clean, safe work environment; participates in hourly rounding.
• Proactively assist internal and external customers.
