Job summary

Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA, is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Cardiac Care Unit. The CCU is an 18-bed unit caring for cardiac and vascular patients, operating as an intermediate/step-down unit.

Schedule is 3 x 12-hour shifts (11am-11pm) or nights (7pm-7am) with every-other weekend. Hospital experience is highly preferred. Team supports cardiology and vascular teams to ensure exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in patient care helpful.
• BCLS certification may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and data collection.
• Support mobility, feeding, oral care, bathing and turning.
• Document vital signs and treatments in the EMR.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
• Assist with admission and discharge and patient intake.
• Reinforce education provided by licensed staff.
• Respond to call lights and fall alarms.
• Serve as a clerical resource when acting as Unit Secretary.
