Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Licensure in the State of Ohio as an RN.
• ACLS and BLS may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises staff assigned to their unit and demonstrates coaching and mentoring.
• Identifies needs for equipment and ensures availability for patient care.
• Ensures shift practice complies with EMTALA, HIPAA, and relevant regulations.
• Maintains nursing competencies and completes annual competencies.
• Collaborates with the Department Educator for orientation and education needs.
• Engages staff in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Provides immediate counseling and writes up incidents when needed.
