Job summary

MultiCare Health System is launching a Residency RN - Transition to Practice Program designed for new graduate RNs or experienced nurses transitioning to hospital settings. The program combines classroom instruction with clinical hours under expert preceptors to develop autonomous, competent practice and purposeful patient care.

You will join a supportive team at Good Samaritan Hospital, with opportunities to advance education and skills across pediatric, emergency, and acute care settings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or obtained within five years from hire date.
• RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire; TNCC, LNPC, PEARS within 1 year as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan of individuals, families, caregivers, and populations.
• Utilize the nursing process for nursing care and health teaching in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Function interdependently when executing a medical regimen under physician direction.
• Collaborate to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.

Skills

RN license

BLS certification

ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days

TNCC/LNPC/PEARS within 1 year

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Advanced nursing degree preferred (MSN/PhD/DNP/ARNP)
