Job summary

Trinity Health Saint Mary’s Hospital is seeking a per diem RN to deliver direct patient care, triage calls, administer medications, and assist with stress tests and cardiac procedures. You will educate patients on lifestyle changes and medication management, and collaborate with cardiology to coordinate testing and follow-up care.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree with CT RN licensure and BLS certification. Experience with cardiac stress tests is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
• BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• RN experience required; Cardiac Stress Tests experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cardiologists and care team to coordinate tests, follow-up care, and tailored treatment plans.
• Contribute to quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques.
• Educate patients and families on care being provided.
• Utilize computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation) and standard software.
