Job summary

Pulse Heart Institute at MultiCare is seeking a staff RN to join a hospital-based team. This role utilizes specialized training and nursing care within a multidisciplinary setting and supports clinical decision-making to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (or completion within five years), is licensed as an RN in Washington or via multi-state licensure, and maintains BLS. ACLS/NALS/PALS or TNCC/NRP and a year of acute care experience are preferred; the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire
• RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
• Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
• Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC or NRP certification, as required by facility or department
• Certification in specialty area preferred
• One (1) year of experience in acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
• Utilize the nursing knowledge base to deliver care using the nursing process per hospital policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff and health care team members
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting autonomy, dignity and health across diverse backgrounds
