Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an RN to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum within the Electrocardiography (EKG) unit. The RN reports to the unit Clinical Director and collaborates with nursing, physicians, and family to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires self-direction, strong communication, and a patient-centered approach. This PRN shift covers 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday, with four shifts every six weeks, in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• RN licensure or eligibility to practice as a registered nurse.
• Experience with patient assessment and care coordination.
• Ability to plan and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnosis and appropriate interventions.
• Evaluates patient progress and applies interventions to achieve goals.
• Promotes health and safe environment for patients and families.
• Performs other duties consistent with the role as needed.
