Job summary

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center invites applications for a registered nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab to support patient care across the continuum. You will assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with physicians, families, and the healthcare team.

The role requires a critical care background, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to work self-directed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A critical care background essential.
• Cardiac and Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
