Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Cath Holding Room. This night-shift role supports patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures, with off-hours coverage across three shifts weekly.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families, and ensure safe transitions before and after procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Uses the nursing process to plan and implement patient care.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and follow-up.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care across the care continuum.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Continually evaluates progress toward goals and applies interventions.
• Promotes health and a safe hospital environment.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
