North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) invites a cardiac anesthesiologist to join a growing heart program anchored at a major coastal center in Wilmington, NC.

Qualifications

• M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX certification.
• TEE proficiency is required.
• Completion of Cardiac Fellowship.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments: Heart and Vascular, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Endos, Orthopedics and OB/GYN.
• Directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Medical management of patients under anesthesia, including invasive monitoring.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition.
• Clinical intervention as needed.
• Near 100% CRNA supervision.
