Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks a cardiac anesthesiologist to join our team in Wilmington, NC, supporting LVAD and complex structural heart procedures at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center and affiliated sites.

The practice features a stable, board-certified team with fellowship training in cardiovascular, regional, pain management and pediatric anesthesia. Opportunities include leadership, formal mentorship, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine is required.
• ECFMG and FLEX certification required.
• Completion of Cardiac Fellowship.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• TEE proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments across Heart and Vascular, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Endos, Orthopedics and OB/GYN.
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Manage anesthesia care including invasive monitoring, nerve blocks, spinal/epidural techniques.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessment and obtain patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient physiology and perform clinical interventions as needed.
• Operator with near 100% CRNA supervision.
