Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the team at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. The role includes a robust heart program with LVAD and structural heart procedures, in a collaborative, physician-led environment.

The package includes a generous salary with a $50K cardiac stipend, potential relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits while supporting professional development within a busy, tertiary care setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited College of Medicine.
• Cardiac fellowship completed and board-certified.
• ECFMG and FLEX completed; TEE proficiency required.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments across Heart and Vascular, Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Endoscopy, Orthopedics and OB/GYN.
• Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Manage anesthesia care including monitoring and nerve blocks.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment and obtaining patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient's physiological condition; perform clinical interventions as needed.
• Near 100% CRNA supervision.
