Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive anesthesia care, including cardiac procedures, at Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia, MO. The role requires full medical license, strong English proficiency, and collaboration with CRNAs and surgeons.

You will participate in pre-op assessments, intraoperative anesthesia management, and post-op care, with opportunities for CME and professional

Qualifications

• Must have full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in US
• Board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology (ABA)
• Experience with anesthesia for complex cardiac interventions preferred
• Pre-employment physical required

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative risk assessments and physical exams
• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
• Perform IV/arterial/central line placements and monitor setups
• Provide anesthesia care in OR, PACU, and various suites as needed
• Support post-operative care including ventilator and pain management
• Collaborate with CRNAs, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
• Complete CME, committee work, FPPE/OPPE, and other administrative duties
• Maintain an active medical license and comply with hospital policies
