Job summary

The University of Washington Medical Center Montlake Campus seeks a Cardiac Acute Care APN/PA for a full-time role. You will deliver independent and collaborative care for cardiac surgical patients, operating within a 24/7 team environment.

Teaching Associates hold a 12-month service period with annual appointments. Salary ranges from $130,008 to $184,692 annually, with relocation support possible for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• WA State ARNP or PA-C licensure is required.
• Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• National certification for ARNP/PA; DEA eligibility.
• Proven excellence in interdisciplinary teamwork and leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• ACLS certification required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Critical care or cardiothoracic experience preferred; new grads may be considered with onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work on a multidisciplinary team with surgeons and RNs to care for cardiac surgical patients.
• Perform minor bedside procedures and wound management as needed.
• Provide full spectrum of care from ICU transfer to discharge planning.
• Educate nursing staff and surgical residents in care protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement and process improvement projects for the division.
• Performs other related duties as required.
