Job summary

HIFI is seeking a leader to own the stablecoin card program end-to-end, including design, launches, and ongoing management. You will drive the program's performance, working with issuing banks, card networks, and compliance to deliver a compliant, revenue-positive experience for institutions and end users.

You will own the P&L, optimize unit economics, and collaborate across teams to expand reach across markets and settlement rails, reporting directly to the founders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in card issuing or payments with Visa/Mastercard exposure.
• Proven track record owning a card program's P&L and improving unit economics.
• Deep familiarity with card network rules and settlement operations.
• Ability to operate independently and drive a program without a playbook.
• Comfort working at the intersection of stablecoins and traditional card rails.

Responsibilities

• Monitor program health daily and report performance to founders; speak for the program in negotiations.

About the Team

HIFI is building the infrastructure for stablecoin-based card issuance - bringing programmable, dollar-denominated value directly into everyday spend. This role will own one of our most consequential product lines: the card program that turns our rails into a spendable, real-world experience for institutions and their end users.

You'll work at the intersection of issuing banks, card networks, processors, and compliance to launch and run a program that doesn't have a playbook yet — because stablecoin-native card issuance is still being invented. You own the full P&L for the program - revenue, interchange economics, partner costs, and margin. You'll be the person who owns it end to end, from partner selection to program mechanics to day-to-day performance, reporting directly to the founders.

Responsibilities

• Own the full P&L for the stablecoin card program: interchange revenue, network and processing costs, FX/conversion spread, and program margin
• Serve as the primary owner of the card program's relationship with network partners (Visa, Mastercard) and issuing/sponsor banks, managing principal membership requirements and settlement operations
• Lead card program launches end-to-end - program design, network approval, compliance sign-off, and go-live - across new markets and jurisdictions
• Own the mechanics of stablecoin-to-fiat settlement for card transactions, working with Engineering to ensure authorization, clearing, and settlement run reliably across supported chains
• Design and manage program features: credit vs. prepaid structures, spend limits, rewards, and fee models that drive usage and revenue
• Partner with Compliance to maintain PCI DSS and network compliance standards, and to manage fraud, disputes, and chargebacks
• Monitor program health daily - transaction volume, approval rates, fraud/loss rates, and unit economics - and report performance to founders
• Act as the internal and external expert on the program, representing it in partner negotiations, network reviews, and customer-facing conversations
• Continuously evaluate new networks, chains, and settlement rails to expand where and how the program can operate

You might be a fit if

• 5+ years of experience in card issuing, card program management, or payments, ideally with direct exposure to Visa/Mastercard program mechanics
• Track record of owning a card program's P&L — not just operating it, but improving its unit economics
• Deep familiarity with card network rules, issuing bank/BIN sponsor relationships, and settlement operations
• Comfortable working at the intersection of stablecoins and traditional card rails, even if you're newer to crypto specifically
• Strong instincts for compliance and risk — you know how to move fast without cutting corners on fraud, disputes, or regulatory requirements
• Can operate independently and drive a program forward without a playbook to follow
• You want real ownership over a P&L, not just a seat at the table
