Job summary

Colonial Group in Texas seeks a Plant Operator to support carbon black production. You will start up and operate reactor systems, monitor processes, and document measurements to ensure product specifications are met. Safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures are essential in this role.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of the company Plant Operator training program. Experience in manufacturing operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute plant start up tasks safely and efficiently.
• Operate various process equipment including reactors, filters, pumps and centrifuges per procedures.
• Set up and adjust control and indicator devices.
• Monitor reactor changes and document product properties and composition.
• Maintain gauges, shift production logs and note equipment malfunctions.
• Manage oil/salt ratios and assist with grade changes as needed.
• Perform routine PM tasks and emergency shutdown procedures.
• Draw product samples to verify specifications.
