Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Welder to work under a Lead or Supervisor in a shop or field service setting. You will perform welding and cutting, including air arc gouging, while laying out and completing complex repairs with precision.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, efficient productivity, and proactive maintenance of welding tools. Travel and varied shifts may be required to support department goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with SMAW and FCAW welding electrodes.
• Carbon arc gouging experience.
• Able to pass weld certification to Komatsu standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Flexible schedule including day/night shifts and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on maintaining a safe work environment.
• Perform welding and cutting applications (including air arc gouging).
• Lay out and perform complex repairs with high accuracy and quality.
• Assess repair needs and develop repair processes.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to welding tooling and equipment.
• Work in a diverse team and maintain productivity to meet department goals.
