FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
DESCRIPTION:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, documenting related repairs and services, and recommending system, program, and equipment changes to improve reliability, increase capability, and reduce customer loss. The technician performs the following duties and responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
- Accurately troubleshoots chemical, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Provides technical assistance to site managers and distributors.
- Provides on-site technical training to site staff on the use, operation, and minor maintenance of wash equipment.
- Assists in the installation of new car wash equipment when necessary.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of equipment rooms, tunnels, and work areas.
- Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials professionally.
- Ensures all company-owned equipment is in proper working order and receives timely maintenance.
- Operates vehicles safely and courteously, complying with laws and regulations.
- Communicates information clearly and accurately, ensuring proper flow of information.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals, instructions, and work plans to perform services.
- Ensures safety and environmental standards are met in equipment, work areas, and facilities.
- Uses the MaintainX app to record and track maintenance tasks.
LOCATIONS
- Any and all Wash Shop locations within the Midwest Market.
- Any and all Oil Changer Lube locations within the Midwest Market.
- Travel to other locations may be required for routine, training, or emergency situations.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Performs functions related to the use, service, and performance of car wash equipment, including minor facilities repairs.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor with staff and customers.
- Reports regularly to the supervisor for instructions, training, and job duties.
- Clocks in and out accurately and timely as per schedule or supervisor instructions.
- Maintains availability during adverse weather conditions when travel safety is compromised.
