WashU Car Wash is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and reliability of car wash equipment across the Chicagoland area. This field-based role requires travel between locations using a company-provided vehicle and hands-on maintenance experience.
You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems, while keeping detailed records of completed work.
Location: Chicagoland Area - Field-based
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Schedule: Full-Time | Weekend availability required
Travel: Company provided vehicle for travel between WashU locations
Pay: $55,000 annually + comprehensive benefits package

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the upkeep, functionality, and safety of car wash equipment and facilities across multiple WashU locations throughout the Chicagoland area. This is a hands on, field based role focused on keeping equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently while minimizing downtime.
Day to day, the Maintenance Technician will travel between WashU locations in a company provided vehicle to perform preventative maintenance, inspect and service equipment, troubleshoot issues, and complete routine repairs. This includes working with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems, replacing worn or damaged components, and identifying potential problems before they lead to equipment failures.
The Maintenance Technician will also respond to maintenance needs reported by site teams, assist with larger repairs and equipment installations, maintain tools and parts, and document completed work. By keeping our equipment and facilities in excellent working condition, this role plays an important part in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring each WashU location consistently delivers a high quality customer experience.
