Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on car wash equipment and facility systems within an assigned territory.
- Maintain operational uptime through safe, efficient service of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, water treatment, and chemical delivery systems.
- Responsible for multiple locations in Champaign IL.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and chemical delivery systems.
- Install, maintain, and replace conveyors, pumps, motors, blowers, dryers, water treatment equipment and related components.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and emergency service calls.
- Travel throughout an assigned district using a company vehicle.
- Prioritize preventative maintenance and service requests to minimize downtime.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Document work performed, labor and parts used through the work order system.
- Communicate repair status with supervisors, site personnel, vendors, and support teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- Three (3) years of maintenance experience required.
- Experience with industrial, commercial, manufacturing, or service equipment preferred.
- Experience with tunnel car wash equipment strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required background, drug, and motor vehicle screenings.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including emergency call-outs.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, water treatment, and chemical systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency for work order management.
