Job summary

Thoroughbred Express Auto Wash is seeking an experienced Traveling Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain car wash equipment across multiple locations. This role involves hands-on work, travel to Fort Wayne, Auburn, Celina, and Greenville, and collaboration with seasoned maintenance managers and technicians.

Expect training in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and PLC basics while gaining real responsibility and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites in Fort Wayne, IN; Auburn, IN; Celina, OH; Greenville, OH. Company vehicle provided within 90 days; travel allowances until then.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment; assist in installing and updating machinery.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and operate testing equipment.
• Train and support site managers to strengthen preventative maintenance and site reliability.
• Manage work orders via the Operations Portal and ensure timely documentation.
• Perform other related maintenance duties as needed.

Position Summary

The Traveling Maintenance Tech will modify, repair, and improve existing products, and equipment, and will assist in developing new or updated machinery, components, or products. The incumbent will assist with maintenance repairs and installations as necessary.

Key Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Travel : sites in Fort Wayne, IN; Auburn, IN; Celina, OH; and Greenville, OH. A company vehicle will be provided within 90 days of employment. Until then, vehicle allowances will be issues. Gas expenses will be paid for by the company.
  • Must be willing to travel to an established district for 2 weeks of training. (Mon-Fri) Hotel, food, and gas expenses will be covered by the company. ****
  • Must be willing to travel to Sonny's Car Wash College in Tamarac, FL or Phoenix, AZ
• Tool & Equipment Use: Uses a variety of hand and power tools—including hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches—and operates hydraulic, electrical, and electronic testing equipment.
• Work Order Management : Use the company Operations Portal to review, prioritize, document, and close work orders daily.
• Training & Develop ment: Trains and supports Site Managers to strengthen their preventative maintenance capabilities and ensure long‑term site reliability.
• Mechanical & Electrical Repair: Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and car wash machinery.
• Other Duties: __Performs other related responsibilities as assigned to support overall operations and maintenance excellence.
