Job description

The Car Wash Cashier / Attendant’s primary duties include assisting customers with their purchases from the Car Wash, Mini-Mart and Gas Station. Providing the customers with a positive and friendly experience, as well as properly maneuvering customer vehicles through the Escondido Auto Park Express Wash ensuring vehicles are cleaned to company specifications, standards and time allowances.

Employees in this position will be paid a base hourly rate of applicable minimum wage ($16.00 / Hr).

Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following : (other duties may be assigned)

Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.

Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers’ purchases.

Resolve customer issues and answers questions.

Bags customer purchases if needed, and processes return transactions.

Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; and operating a cash register.

Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.

Redeem coupons for discounts on purchases.

Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers.

Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number; and operating credit card authorization systems.

Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.

Provides pricing information by answering questions.

Ensures stock is sufficient and creates a positive shopping experience for the customers.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Monitors functionality of car wash machinery and equipment.

Operates all tools in a safe manner by using proper eye, hand & body protection.

Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
