Job summary

Hertz in Newport Beach, CA is seeking Car Wash Attendants to prepare vehicles for customer rentals. You will clean vehicles, perform basic readiness checks, and ensure cars meet Hertz Gold Clean standards for rental readiness.

The role requires working outside in all weather, a valid driver’s license, and being at least 20 years old. Overtime and benefits are available as part of the Hertz team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles to be ready for rent and customer pickup.
• Maintain a fast-paced workflow while delivering Hertz Gold Clean standards, with a target of 5 rental-ready vehicles per hour.
• Conduct basic vehicle safety checks, including inspecting dashboard warning lights, tire condition, and fuel and fluid levels.
• Transport vehicles throughout the lot.

This role focuses on efficient vehicle cleaning, basic vehicle readiness checks, and preparing cars for customer rentals. What You’ll Get:

• Hourly Rate: $18.50
• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime)
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay)
• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 48 hours
• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays)
• Profit Sharing: Eligible
