Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb, Summit West, NJ, is hiring a Manufacturing Manager for Liso-cel CAR-T manufacturing operations. You will lead a Work Centered Team, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence in a fast-paced biopharma setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Supply Chain, and MSTD teams, and continuous improvement using Lean methods.

Qualifications

• Strong people management and leadership experience in a regulated environment.
• Extensive knowledge of EHS and cGMP practices.
• Understanding of biotechnology principles and manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliant CAR-T manufacturing operations per cGMP, SOPs, batch records, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, training, coaching, and real-time operational support to ensure schedule adherence.
• Drive safety culture through leadership presence and shopfloor engagement with risk identification and mitigation.
• Oversee batch record review, documentation, and data integrity per ALCOA+ and right-first-time principles.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing, onboarding, performance management, and training compliance.
• Monitor KPIs and production metrics; lead tier meetings and cross-functional planning.
• Lead deviation management, root-cause analysis, CAPAs, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion Lean manufacturing, visual management, problem-solving, and coaching practices.
