Job summary

Budget Car and Truck Rental of Utah is seeking a Manager in Training to join our Layton team. This is an opportunity for someone with sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or operations experience who wants to develop into a management role.

You'll receive hands-on training in rental car operations, sales, fleet coordination, employee development, and branch management while working alongside experienced leaders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, or business operations.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in developing leadership and business management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with daily branch operations and business performance.
• Support customer service, rental sales, and revenue goals.
• Coordinate vehicle availability, fleet inventory, and daily vehicle operations.
• Help train, support, and develop team members.
• Gain experience with employee scheduling, staffing, and team leadership.
• Assist with customer concerns and operational problem-solving.
• Learn company systems, procedures, and management practices.
