Job summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking a proactive Program Manager to oversee the daily operations of assigned group captive insurance programs. You will manage technical aspects related to brokers, members, and service providers, ensuring smooth program execution and growth.

You will lead cross-functional teams, supervise underwriting data flow, maintain client and partner relationships, and support board meetings while ensuring accurate documentation and financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; 5+ years of property & casualty insurance experience with exposure to captive programs.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including executive leadership and production.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills; apply sound judgment to technical and operational challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to customer service and business culture.
• Travel: minimal to no travel; annual board meetings at offshore locations.

Responsibilities

• Program Management & Leadership: Lead day-to-day operations for assigned captive(s) and align with Captive Executives and other Program Managers.
• Production: Manage flow of underwriting information from submission to proposal production and collaborate with underwriters to create proposals.
• Client & Partner Relationships: Maintain relationships with brokers, service providers, and members; lead board meetings and communicate program status.
• Program Documentation & Financial Oversight: Prepare underwriting documentation for renewals and board books; ensure up-to-date documentation and financials.
• Premium Collection & Financial Reconciliation: Monitor premium collection and ensure financial reconciliation with domicile manager and carrier.
